A residential plumber for Bastrop and Central Texas homes
Savior Service Plumbing Company is a family-owned residential plumber based in Bastrop, TX. Joedaniel “JD” Salinas, a Texas master plumber, started the company in 2017, and co-owner Megan Salinas runs the office. Most of what we do happens inside people’s homes: leaks, water heaters, fixtures, remodels, drains, and the slow problems that build for years before anyone notices. When you call, you talk to a local team, and the plumber who comes out is the one who explains the problem and stands behind the fix. We provide the full range of plumbing services a house needs, from small repairs to new installation.
Homes around Bastrop and the rest of Central Texas are not all built the same way, and the problems we see follow the age of the house, the water source, and the ground it sits on. Knowing those patterns is a big part of fixing the right thing the first time.
Plumbing problems in older homes and new builds
In older homes, the trouble is usually the pipe itself. Galvanized steel supply lines rust from the inside, which shows up as low pressure, rusty water after the house sits, and leaks at threaded joints. Copper lasts longer but can develop pinhole leaks with age and hard water. Older drain lines may be cast iron or galvanized, and those narrow over time and clog more often. In a house like that, we look at the whole plumbing system before we fix one leak, so you know whether you are dealing with a one-time repair or the first of several.
New construction has a different list. Most new homes are plumbed in PEX, often run to a manifold, with the lines under the slab. Street pressure in some newer subdivisions runs higher than a home needs, and the pressure-reducing valve on the main line is what protects the plumbing. When that valve fails, faucets drip, toilets run, and water heaters wear out early. Growing towns like Kyle and Buda are full of homes in that first ten or fifteen years, where early-life pressure and manifold issues start to show.
Out in the county, many homes run on private well and septic systems. Around Cedar Creek and other rural parts of Bastrop County, that changes how we approach water pressure, softeners, and slow drains, because the well and septic equipment are part of the picture even when the problem is inside the house.
Water pressure and water line issues
Low pressure and high pressure point to different causes. Low pressure at one fixture is often a clogged aerator or cartridge. Low pressure through the whole house can mean corroded galvanized pipe, a partly closed or failing valve, a hidden leak, or, on a well, a pressure tank issue that belongs to a well contractor. High pressure is quieter and does more damage: banging pipes, running toilets, dripping faucets, and a water heater relief valve that keeps opening. We test pressure at a hose bib with a gauge, so the answer is a number instead of a guess. If you live in a newer neighborhood, our write up on why pressure valves fail early in new subdivisions explains what that gauge reading means.
Remodel plumbing, fixture repair, and water heater installation
A kitchen or bath remodel is the best time to fix the plumbing you cannot see. With the walls and floor open, replacing old supply lines, moving a drain, adding shutoff valves, or upgrading to code costs far less than it will later. We work with homeowners and their contractors on layout, rough-in, inspection, and setting the final fixtures. For homes we already know, we also offer preventative maintenance visits that catch worn valves and slow leaks before they turn into repairs.
Fixture repairs are the everyday side of home plumbing service:
- Toilet repair and replacement, including running tanks, weak flushes, and leaks at the base
- Faucet, shower valve, and supply line replacement
- Shutoff valves that will not close or leak at the stem
- Garbage disposals, ice maker lines, and washing machine boxes
- Hose bibs and backflow devices on irrigation lines
Your water heater gets its own attention because hard Central Texas water is rough on it. We handle repair, maintenance, and installation of tank and tankless units through our water heater services, and we size a replacement to your household so you get enough hot water without paying for capacity you will never use.
Drain and sewer service for homes
Slow drains are one of the most common plumbing problems we see in homes. A single slow sink is usually hair, soap, or grease in the trap. Several slow drains at once, gurgling toilets, or water backing up into a tub points to the main sewer line, and that calls for professional drain cleaning and often a camera to see why it clogged. In older homes with cast iron or galvanized drains, or in yards with big trees, the cause is often buildup or roots that will come back without a real fix. Our sewer and drain services cover cabling, hydro jetting, camera inspection, and sewer line repair. On septic, we handle the drain line from the house to the tank and tell you plainly when the tank itself needs a septic company.
Leak repairs or a whole-home repipe
Repiping is a big decision, and we do not recommend it lightly. It starts to make sense when leaks keep showing up in different places, when the pipe is galvanized and the pressure has dropped through the house, or when the water runs rusty. One leak on otherwise healthy pipe is a repair. Three leaks in a year on aging pipe is a pattern.
The material matters too. PEX is flexible, resists freeze damage better, and is faster to run through finished walls. Copper is rigid, long-lived, and holds up to sunlight and heat. Our comparison of which repipe material fits a Central Texas home goes through the tradeoffs. Either way, we plan the route to keep wall openings small and patchable, and we tell you up front how long you will be without water.
How a residential plumber should work in your home
We treat your house like it is lived in, because it is. Our plumbers wear shoe covers, lay down drop cloths, and protect the floors and cabinets around the work. Before anything gets opened up, we show you what we found and explain your options in plain terms, including when a repair will hold and a replacement is not needed yet. You get a free written estimate after an on-site assessment, so the price is settled before the work starts. When the job is done, we test the system, clean up, and show you where your main shutoff is if you did not already know.
Our regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. If you also own a rental or a small business, we handle commercial plumbing for those properties too, so one local company can look after all of them.
If you are looking for a plumber in Bastrop or anywhere nearby, our shop in Bastrop, TX serves homeowners across Bastrop, Travis, Hays, Caldwell, and Williamson counties. Whether it is a dripping faucet, a pressure problem, or a whole-house repipe, call Savior Service Plumbing Company at (512) 964-9618 or request a quote, and a local plumber will help you sort out the next step.

We needed a new water heater and JD quickly came to my house and gave me a great quote on a new Rheem professional classic plus electric water heater (model PRO+E50 T2 RH95 EC1), in addition to the installation of a pressure regulating valve and expansion tank. Within a few days (mostly my delay) he and his team came to install it and do the other work. He was very courteous, communicated well, and thoughtful to take care of our house and property. Our old unit was facing an awkward position in the attic, so he changed the direction of the new unit so that it is much easier to maintain and service while also replacing and adding some plywood decking. He even showed me how to make a minor plumbing repair on one of our bathtubs. I will definitely call him and Savior Service Co. for plumbing work in the future.

I will definitely use Savior Service Company for all of my needs in the future! We thought we would be without water for the weekend or longer. But we called today (on a Friday afternoon) and they were busy but the owner himself showed up within a couple of hours and we had water again. Very respectful and professional. We need more companies like this! Honest and reliable quality work!

This is our second time to use Savior for plumbing problems that have emerged as our house has gotten older and plumbing problems start to pop up. They did a great job both times! I would recommend them to anyone with a plumbing problem in the Austin/Cedar Creek area. They helped us to understand what was going on with the plumbing in our house and worked to help prevent more problems from happening in the future. Most recently, they went the extra distance to fix the problem with our hot water heater, coming out after hours to get the job done. Well done!
Frequently Asked Questions
Straightforward answers to common questions about our residential plumbing services, process, and system requirements.
What’s the most common plumbing issue in homes?
Dripping faucets, running toilets, and under-sink leaks are among the most frequent problems. These are often caused by worn washers, loose fittings, or aging supply lines.
Can you bring old plumbing up to code?
Yes. We upgrade outdated plumbing to meet current building code, which may involve new venting, pressure regulators, or approved pipe materials.
Do you work inside finished walls and floors?
Yes, when necessary. We take care to minimize disruption and provide clean access to make repairs without damaging surrounding materials unnecessarily.
Is regular maintenance important for residential systems?
Absolutely. Routine checks help catch early signs of corrosion, pressure imbalance, or fixture wear before they lead to water damage or failures.
